Cumberland Logs to Lumber

Pricing

Milling is either based upon an hourly rate or a board foot rate.

Hourly rates are generally more acceptable (frequently used) for sawing special dimension lumber or beams and for small diameter (less than 12 inch) logs.

Board foot rates are also sometimes used for milling.  Boards milled to less than 1 inch thickness are treated as 1 inch for calculating board feet sawn.

There is a $25 blade charge anytime a saw blade is ruined by hitting metal or any foreign object in a log. This is most commonly nails, screws, and wire.

A mobilization fee or one time setup fee is normally charged.

Depending upon distance to the milling site there may also be a one-way mileage rate.

Payment is expected upon completion of the saw job. Cash or personal checks are accepted.
